Overview of Customer’s Project & Needs
Over saturated ground conditions caused a rig to sink two feet into the subsurface and halt operations. These dangerous conditions were the result of the primary containment being damaged by another vendor’s mats, allowing water to seep into the containment and destabilize the surface. The customer called Bar Star to asked if we could come up with a solution as fast as possible to reduce the costly delays. They had to be operational by the next day.
Solutions Provided by Bar Star
Bar Star mobilized to the site within the hour. The entire containment was pulled up, the pad regraded and 17 loads of rock base were laid down. New containment was placed and our liner protecting SiteSeal™ mats replaced the other vendors mats. Our team worked through the night so our customer would be operational before sunrise.
Results
It took 10 hours in storm conditions from start to finish to complete the project. The location had no further issues with over saturation or water infiltration. The customer was exceedingly pleased with the outcome. Our responsiveness, our solution and the performance of the SiteSeal™ mat exceeded our customers expectations.
